Can it be done?

Let me ask..does anyone think that they can outfit two children for under $200.00. Enough to give them at least one outfit for five days out of the week? DH thinks that I should be able to get 5 outfits for both girls for $150.00 or less.

I started laughing. I went to Old Navy with the girls to get spring/summer clothes while we have the money. I spent about $80.00 on each kid. Not bad in my eyes.

I think it's possible, depending on where you go. I get Kyla's clothes from Target being that I can get her $3 shirts and $4 shorts. Hitting up the clearance rack helps sometimes too

honestly, yes i think its possible. But again it depends where you shop..For me its more about getting more for my bucks.. I love name brands, clearance racks and great sales

I get most of my girls clothes from second hand stores or Walmart or Target. I buy very little not on sale and I could care less about name brands. I NEVER go to Old Navy or any store like that. In fact most of the Old Navy clothes that I see at the second hand store I find undesirable.

So, yes, I could buy for both my girls for less than $150 for 5 outfits each.

I love the second hand stores here too, Noy as much for Hallye, but love it for Hudson. LOVE it

its time for the spring consignment sale here (which I sell in as well) and I will buy alot of Katie's spring and summer clothes there if I can find good prices. Sometimes people get a little greedy and want $8 for a second hand $10 shirt and Im not paying that much for second hand. IYKWIM

Like said above, Im sure you could do it, depending on where you shop.

Yes I think you could do it with 200.00. Like everyone said it depends where you shop. My older 2 are the hardest now because they are into adult clothes but the little kids I can do easy.

Well, I definitely try to hit clearance racks, but unfortunately...most of the stuff they had was for winter. And as for Target...all they had were $4-$5 shirts, which is the same amount I paid at Old Navy. And the shorts/capris were anywhere from $2.00-$4.00 cheaper at old navy.
I used to go to the second hand store in our area..but they've gone downhill. Its sad too because they used to have the best stuff.

Damn, I gotta learn to shop with you girls lol. I can't imagine getting 10 outfits for under $200. Sounds insane to me.

I can VERY easily do it. We've never had much money so I've never got to experience buying without carring. I love name brands but unless I can find stuff for what I can afford I don't buy them.
I love target, and I do a lot of consignment/second hand stores too. A lot of times you can find plenty of nice name brands at second hand stores, you just have to know where to look. I also do a lot of my shopping at walmart. Their clothes have got IMO really nice lately and I'm finding a lot of good deals there.
